with my old workaholic lifestyle, I don't spent time reading showbiz news. Radio is the source for me to get to know new music as I travelled alot in my car. So, its only natural I've only heard this song over the radio. He is originated from Hongkong; hence his mandarin pronounciation has a hint of cantonese. IMHO, he hasn't got a good vocal, but what he did was given this song a good impression of a man in a love with a woman which he thinks his love will not be accepted. He expressed the tune in true under dog emotion. That's what I like about it :)

Out of nowhere this just popped up in my head. And gosh! it still ROCKS! A while back, when the song first debut on the radio, it kept playing in my mind. So, whenever the radio or mtv air the song (didnt buy their CD), I blast the volume and even my nephews (then age between 3 and 5) caught on with mumbling a line here and there and were dancing to the drum beats :D What I like most is the 60/70s beat to the song, I guess retro music is for me..

Magyarorszag (Mok ya ro sak) means Hungary in Hungarian. I first heard this song during a live performance over at chain bridge, last year's national day. The singer's powerful voice portraits the sense of patriotism ...I remember I had goose bump. The lyric is a tough one, almost a tongue twister for me *phew* Do enjoy the interesting mtv :)

If not for my eldest sister who's crazy about everything Japanese, including J-pop, perhaps I wouldn't have known this song (maybe eventually). I'm not fond of J-pop but how can not love this very touching song? It was love at first 'listen'.
I remember few years ago, me and a couple of friends (one of them Japanese) decided to go on an island tour. To accomodate that Japanese friend, we made a point to bring Utada's first album along the ride. Everyone had a good time singing to this tune, the amount of emotion displayed was unbelievable..lol! There after, this song became our must-sing during karaoke session.
